Are you even a pregnant celebrity if you don't have a lauded photoshoot that gets retweeted and 'grammed by everyone?
The latest to do it, and do it stunningly, is Serena Williams. The tennis star is expecting a newborn in September, and celebrated by gracing the cover of Vanity Fair'sissue à la Demi Moore, along with an incredible photo spread by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Buzz Bissinger penned the cover story, which details the relationship between Williams and her fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Ohanian and Williams also appear and a series of black and white photographs, adding to the extremely limited collection public images we've of the couple.
In the piece, we glean a lot of details from the notoriously private sports legend, including the fact that Williams discovered she was pregnant after taking six tests, right before the Australian Open.
“Oh my God, this can’t be—I’ve got to play a tournament,” Williams says. “How am I going to play the Australian Open? I had planned on winning Wimbledon this year.”

Williams also admits knowing what was up leading up to Ohanian's proposal, which featured a plastic rat. Their love story is beautiful, yes, but probably the best fact revealed in the essay is that Williams—the greatest tennis player in the world—knows every word to Avatar: The Last Airbenderby heart.
Goals.
