Meituan officially brought its food delivery service to Saudi Arabia under the name KeeTa on Monday, beginning its expansion outside China as domestic growth slowed. For newly registered users, KeeTa sends a 50% off voucher and free delivery coupon that can only be deemed on Monday, the standalone app showed. KeeTa is expected to compete with food delivery giant Delivery Hero-owned HungerStation and local company Jahez in the Saudi Arabian market. In Hong Kong, Meituan’s debut outside mainland China in May last year, KeeTa undertook Deliver as the region’s second-largest food delivery participator in terms of order volume just six months after it launched.
