OnePlus 5T Star Wars

Star Wars and OnePlus fans are in for a real treat.

While the default colorway for the OnePlus 5T, one of the year's most-talked about Android phones, is Midnight Black, the company's preparing a new Star Wars Limited Edition version just in time for the premiere of The Last Jedi.

Launching on Dec. 14 (that's a day before the U.S. release of The Last Jedi), the special edition trades the black aluminum backside for Stormtrooper white, black button accents, and a blood red alert slider button.

There's also a Star Wars logo emblazoned along the bottom of the phone, along with what appears to be a custom Stormtrooper wallpaper.

The special edition will presumably come with the same specs as the standard Midnight Black edition. We've reached out to OnePlus for more details on which version it'll come in (6GB of RAM + 64GB of storage, 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, or both?) and how much it'll cost.

It's a sleek tie-in for the movie, but we have some bad news: It's exclusive to India. The teaser video suggest the phone will be sold on exclusively through Amazon India.

Womp womp! So if you don't live in India, the only way to get one will be to import it.

It sucks that the rest of the world is being snubbed, but this is the second time since the phone launched that Asia's getting a hot new color.

Last week, OnePlus unveiled a fiery "Lava Red" version of the 5T exclusive to China. All OnePlus 5T phones are carrier-unlocked so you can pop your GSM-ready SIM card into it if you somehow manage to get one, but it's still odd to see these special variants limited to select countries.

OnePlus is holding a special launch event in Mumbai on Dec. 14 to formally show off the special device. Fans can purchase tickets to attend the event here.
